Creosote Counseling

Creosote is a resilient plant found in the Sonoran Desert. Creosote has been used as a cleansing herb for healing and gifts us with the beautiful smell of desert rain.

Creosote teaches us that even when things feel dry or barren, beauty and flourishing are possible.

Services

  • One-on-one therapy to explore your past and present, and to clarify your goals. I offer a collaborative and supportive space for you to strengthen your self-awareness and reinforce skills to navigate the complexities of life.

Individual therapy is an opportunity to dive deep into your past experiences and consider how they shape your present. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Each session is 50 minutes long and I will offer resources for outside of session such as books, articles, and podcasts that I consider relevant to where you find yourself.

  • Together we’ll explore the patterns of your relationship and work towards your goals as a couple. My office is a place where each partner feels heard and supported while also ensuring we’re consistently working towards healing and connectivity.

I utilize EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and require active participation from both partners in order to highlight repeating cycles and explore how past experiences impact your ability to connect.

Sessions can be 50 or 80 minutes. When beginning to work with a couple, I request to meet with each partner individually to understand the personal experiences with which they are coming into therapy as part of a couple.

  • Art Therapy utilizes art materials in the therapeutic space to allow unexpected insights and a sense of play. As adults, we rarely set aside time to simply create, and within this space you will have access to materials that encourage self-expression and connection.

Art Therapy is more about the process than the product, meaning you don’t need to be a skilled artist to get something meaningful out of the experience. You can use materials to express parts of yourself and your story without worrying about it being a picture you keep or display. There is a catharsis to externalizing our internal world, much like journaling, and art allows us to gain new perspectives on various parts of ourselves.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist, I provide a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their past and identify patterns that may be holding them back. Through a collaborative and supportive environment we can embark on a transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery. I believe therapy is an opportunity to get compassionately curious about ourselves and our inner world.

I have extensive experience in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, and a variety of other issues. I am always honored to be a part of any client’s path towards a greater sense of wholeness.
